Self-Transformation
1st Wednesdays @ 7:30pm
Welcome to our self-transformation group! If you’re struggling with anger, trauma, depression, anxiety, food addiction, chronic pain, chronic fatigue, sleep problems, compulsivity, or you feel like it’s time to rewrite your story and reclaim your life, this group is for you. Our group focuses on empowering individuals through a combination of positive psychology, cognitive behavior therapy, and bibliotherapy techniques. We strive to create a safe and supportive environment where individuals can explore their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors in order to make meaningful changes in their lives. Our approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, and we believe in the transformative power of self-reflection and personal growth. We look forward to embarking on this journey toward self-transformation with you!

Positive psychology is a field of psychology that focuses on the study of human strengths and well-being. It aims to promote positive emotions, behaviors, and attitudes that can improve our overall quality of life. Positive psychology is grounded in the belief that people have the ability to cultivate positive experiences and emotions, and that these experiences can be a source of resilience and growth. By focusing on our strengths and positive experiences, we can build a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) is a form of psychotherapy that focuses on the connection between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is often used to help individuals transform negative thought patterns and behaviors into positive ones. By identifying and challenging negative thoughts, CBT can help individuals develop new ways of thinking and behaving that can lead to self-transformation and personal growth.

Bibliotherapy is a form of self-help therapy that uses books and other reading materials to promote self-transformation. By exploring characters, situations, and themes in literature, individuals can gain insight into their own thoughts and behaviors. This type of therapy can be particularly effective when combined with cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which helps individuals challenge negative thought patterns and develop positive ones. With bibliotherapy, individuals can embark on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth through the power of words.
